Leo is a college student, Bob's apprentice and Curtis' son. He is eager to learn the tools of the trade. Easily distracted, Leo can sometimes cause the best plans to come clattering down. But when he learns to slow down and concentrate, Leo shows the best builder he can become.

Leo is a dark-skinned man with brown hair and brown eyes. Often when doing work, Leo wears a white shirt with a red sweater and a blue and white waistcoat. He also wears a brown belt, light brown trousers and white and tan shoes. He also wears a white hard hat with a small grey 'B' on the front. Around his waist, Leo also has a brown-coloured tool belt.

- Leo doesn't have a catchphrase along with with Wendy and Two Tonne.
- According to Curtis Jobling (the designer of the original series)'s concept art for the original series, a building apprentice was planned fairly early on, but was scrapped when the series began, likely to simplify the show, so Wendy, who started off as Bob's secretary, became the second builder starting with the second series.
